This piece involves a found triangular road sign with a image projected on to the structure. The piece uses the colours baby blue and pink designed merging in to one another. These colours are flamboyant and feminine and were chosen to juxtapose the road-sign structure. Road-signs are associated with builders, masculinity and hard labour. I wanted to remove the road-signs use, as a hazard sign to direct traffic, to havea polar opposite purpose, to be aesthetically pleasing and look ‘pretty’. ‘Loading’ examines what is real and fake by the use of a projection to edit the physical world we are in. This builds upon my current work of the imagination, creating ideas to be projected into the real world. The piece also resembles a computer loading symbol often found when loading information. The piece questions the idea of waiting and interpretation which is the opposite of a directional sign. Is this still a road-sign once it is not on a road and has no function?
